Key Responsibilities

    Responsible for management of the livestock restoration and Community Resiliency Project in Fafi District;
    Prepare monthly/Quarterly narrative and financial reports based on CRS guidelines
    In collaboration with the Project Manager and M & E Officer, develop program monitoring systems that include participatory methods for gauging activity progress, effectiveness of interventions, achievement toward objectives, ability to measure stated indicators, program adherence to methodology, and financial expenditures;
    Work closely with the community, DLPO, DWO AND DVO to identify the most vulnerable households to be targeted, using a transparent, criteria-based process
    Participate in the Identification and training of Community Based Animal Health Workers on Livestock Emergency Guidelines
    Participate in distribution of vouchers to beneficiaries before the livestock fairs
    Work with relevant stakeholders in the preparation of the livestock fair
    Mobilize traders, vendors and beneficiaries to effectively participate in the market fairs
    Identity and participate in capacity strengthening for WUAs in the respective project areas

Requirements:     Academic Qualifications:

    University degree in a development related field;
    At least 3 years of progressive professional experience in the livelihood sector at NGO level
    Prior working experience and knowledge of the project area will be an added advantage
    Excellent analytical skills.

Other Skills Required

    Excellent communication and drafting skills for effective reporting on programme financial performance;
    Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility;
    Familiarity with the aid system, and understanding of donor and governmental requirements;
    Fluency in English required, Knowledge of the local language is desirable

    Set up technical evaluation exercises during and following implementation.

    Liaise with CRS HC Program manager on issues related to cash/voucher transfers during and after the animal fairs

Requirements:     Academic/Technical Qualifications:

    A masters degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Science, OR demonstrated equivalent qualifications including extensive relevant experience in livelihoods & water engineering.
    At least 5 years of progressive experience in a similar post with NGO or international organizations or INGO especially on implementation of cash transfers projects
    Excellent communication , analytical and drafting skills for effective reporting on programme financial performance;

    Strong leadership skills and a supportive management style
    Able to prioritize clearly, enforce procedures, multi task, work under pressure, high level of organization, leadership & project management skills
    Good communication skills; Knowledge of the Somali language is an added advantage

Job Title: PROJECT DIRECTOR – 1 POSITION-AC/5/219/12- (CHS)

Location: Nairobi
Applicants should be holders of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and
MPH (Masters in Public Health) degrees (or equivalent health systems related qualifications) from
recognized institutions; and registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board
with a valid practice license. The applicant should have at least 7 years experience in HIV
Prevention, Care and Treatment Programming within the public sector or large NGO/donor
environments and demonstrate experience presenting health systems issues to public health policy
makers and development partners. In addition, they should possess superlative oral, written
communication and computing skills.
The project director will be a strong, strategic partner with the ability to conceptualize, develop, and
direct project results aligned to service delivery partner and donor priorities. The successful
candidate will have superlative communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record in
planning and execution; and expertise in health financing, governance, institutional capacity building
and/or health systems strengthening and an advanced degree in a health systems related field such as
public health, health services management, project management or epidemiology.


Key responsibilities will include to
1. Oversee and guide the overall direction of the project
2. Define, develop, execute and continually update the project work-plan; and adjust
strategic goals, plans and operations of the project to meet service delivery partner
and donor objectives and targets
3. Coordinate logistical support for effective and efficient delivery of technical
assistance and institutional capacity development
4. Represent the project to the Provincial Health Management Teams, target District
Health Management Teams, the donor, project partners and other implementing
partners
5. Provide leadership and oversight for the project’s senior management team that
sets the overall direction for the project
6. Oversee and contribute to planning and reporting on project activities
7. Oversee project finances
8. Oversee and/or actively participate in the preparation of grant applications and
provide technical expertise for other resource mobilization activities

9. Produce reports, presentations and analyses that meet GOK and donor
requirements
10. Oversee monitoring and evaluation functions

Job Title: PRINCIPAL - END USER SUPPORT

Reporting to the Head of IS Operations, the position holder will be responsible for managing the organization’s end user devices and applications which includes over 5000 End User devices used by 4000 Users (Permanent and contract), about 38 retail stores, 15 mini-stores, with an average of 10 applications on every PC.

Key Responsibilities:

    Manage the End User devices (Laptops, Desktops, Personal devices);
    Manage End User applications support (Software and Operating systems);
    Forecast the demand and plan technology refresh with the least TCO.
    Roll-out Retail stores as per the plan from the business;
    Train and assist users on new software that is being rolled out;
    Manage a section of 10 skilled and self-motivated staff;
    Provide weekly reports on the progress of various initiatives with-in the section;
    Ensure user satisfaction in the use of end user devices and associated applications;
    Manage the outsource contract for the printing and imaging devices;
    Quarterly preventive maintenance for Retail stores and Mini-stores;
    Liaise with the rest of technology of the user software roadmap;
    Ensure compliance of software installed on all PCs and Laptops.

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills & competencies:

    Bsc. Computer Science or a related science field;
    Minimum 4 years  hands–on experience in end user support in a busy IT environment;
    Project Management experience;
    Microsoft certification;
    Related professional and  academic designation;
    Self motivated, good judgment with the ability  to make decisions under pressure;
    Good commercial awareness;
    Ability to build relationships and  influence outcomes ;
    Team player, ability to lead  and mange own staff , as well as multifunctional teams;
    Ability to manage several projects  and move all forward.
